F11 Photo Jeffrey Conger and Behance Portfolio Review

Posted May. 17th, 2014 by Daniel J. Cox

F11 Photo Jeffrey Conger and Behance Portfolio Review proved to be a rewarding combination for a small group of interested photo enthusiasts this past Wednesday night, May 14th. Jeffrey Conger, an avid and very successful photographer as well as Professor of Graphic Design at Montana State University was featured as the headline speaker. Jeffrey is a good friend and I’m always inspired by his fun, energetic, and inspirational presentations. I’m fortunate to be invited each year to his in-the-field courses in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

We didn’t have a large group that night but that gave everybody the chance to speak with Jeffrey and myself to discuss their portfolios. Some folks were just beginning and others had quite a nice collection of beautiful images. Behance Portfolio Reviews is sponsored by Adobe and their website offers this description, Attend your local Portfolio Review to present and get feedback on your work, hear from a remarkable range of guest speakers, and socialize with members of your local creative community”.  Behance is a great way for Adobe to gain attention for their Creative Cloud software along with Photoshop and Lightroom. I heard some very nice comments about the capabilities for uploading and sharing images and it actually has peaked my interest in checking it out. It’s on my list.

I’ve included a few photos of our enjoyable evening. Keep F11 Photo in mind for all things related to photo and video including their extensive Apple collection of computer equipment. Marsha really has a well stocked store where you can find even a Nikkor 600mm F/4 sitting on the shelf ready for sale. It’s hard to believe that living in Bozeman we have access to such a wealth of equipment right here in this tiny city in the mountains of the west.
