Nikon Coolpix AW 100 Documents the Galapagos, Ecuador & Machupicchu, Peru

I recently returned from leading one of our Natural Exposures Invitational Photography Tours where we hosted fourteen photographic enthusiasts on an adventure to capture images of the Galapagos Islands and Machupicchu. I originally bought the Nikon AW 100 for its underwater capabilities but found it very capable above water as well. The images on this web page show a sample of the best pictures I shot with this new camera.
  • Caption: The Temple of the Sun, also known as the "Torreon," consists of a semi-circular structure which surrounds a crypt carved out of rock. It is believed that this is the area where Pachacuti was entombed. The Temple of the Sun was used for religious rituals worshiping the sun. At the solstice, the sun shines directly through the temple's circular window landing on the a large ceremonial stone within.
