Flamingos in Namibia hug the shoreline while feeding on algae and brine shrimp. These birds are considered filter feeders. To feed they’ll place their beak upside down in the water with its bill pointed at its feet. It then sweeps its head side to side, using its tongue to pump water in and out of its bill.
I captured this image by placing my camera at the edge of the estuary, attaching a remote controller, and then walking away. I quietly sat 30 yards out and waited for them to return to feed.
