Bison Crossing the Lamar River

By Daniel J. Cox

Bison Crossing the Lamar River Natural Note

A small herd of bison crosses the Lamar River as the sun starts to drop in the western sky. What makes this image special is the sun piercing through heavy smoke from forest fires in the West. The serene beauty of this scene belies the danger of our changing climate. Time is running out for making the changes our planet needs.

You can help stem the changes in our changing climate by visiting my friends at Polar Bears International (PBI). PBI is a leader in providing climate change information, such as how a warming climate will affect all life on planet Earth and how you can help. You can support and learn about the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park by visiting Yellowstone Forever.
