Stirling Falls Forever

By Daniel J. Cox

Stirling Falls Forever Natural Note

One of the wettest places on Earth is the mystical fjord Milford Sound in New Zealand. I recently visited this wonderfully moody landscape with our Invitational Photo Tours group. There was a lot of rain which made for perfect opportunities to shoot the foggy, water-infused atmosphere of this glorious ecosystem within Fiordland National Park. Yes, it was wet, but as my past mentor, Mr. Dean Conger of National Geographic, liked to remind me, “The sun doesn’t always shine.”

Water is one of Earth’s most precious resources, and one could even argue it’s the most important. Without drinkable water and breathable air, life is impossible. No matter what your political affiliation, we all need clean water and air for quality life. Visit the good folks at Eartheasy for ideas on how we can all do our part to make sure the pristine waters of life will always flow like the thundering water of Stirling Falls.
