The Verreaux’s sifaka is one of the most endearing animals I’ve ever photographed. This beautiful creature is part of the lemur family known as Indriidae and is just one of many lemurs we get to photograph during our Invitational Photo Tour in Madagascar.
Sifakas spend the majority of their lives in trees and use their long tails for balance when leaping from tree to tree. When they do come down to the ground they hop, hands in the air and tail stretched out behind,in what looks like a very strange and comical gait.
