This image was shot nearly 30 years ago. My dad and I had been hunting waterfowl on the Missouri River in South Dakota. Our beloved golden retriever Brandy was with us. Dad went to get the Toyota Land Cruiser and Brandy sat down looking out over the placid river as a light snow began to fall. This image was used as a double page spread on an Eddie Bauer catalog in 1981 and was my first major sale as a 21 year old kid. It’s still one of my favorite photographs.
