Mylio Releases Another Great Update
I’ve been writing about Mylio for many months now. One of the ongoing benefits is the constant updates they keep cranking out. Not sure of the exact timeline, but it seems about once month they’re adding new features or
improving what they already have. Mylio version 1.9 was just released and it includes several new and updated tools. They include:
- Improved Face Recognition
- Open Photos in Mylio from other Apps like Snap Seed
- An updated and improved Rating bar.
- Ability to create and save Presets of your own adjustments
- Even better calendar functions
Many of our Natural Exposures Explorers are beginning to take a serious look at this new photography program with the funny little name (Mylio = My Life Organized). They like the simplicity, ease of use, and gorgeous graphical interface. With the constant updates, the gap between Mylio and Lightroom is closing fast.
In many ways, Mylio outperforms Lightroom when it comes to certain features like sharing your pictures across ALL devices, including your iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac machines. Just a couple more improvements in their highlights and noise reduction tools and most of my post-processing will be done with Mylio. Until then I’m using Mylio for finding images quickly via the rocket-fast search tool and the super simple calendar tool. For difficult images—the ones that need more help like recovering highlights—I use DXO Optics Pro 11.
