Leica Panasonic Broaden Their Partnership

Leica Panasonic Broaden Their Partnership. It’s another great day for the world of photography and specifically for the Micro Four Thirds sector. Why? Because Panasonic and Leica announced today they’ve signed an agreement to continue with and expand their working relationship for the next five years. This is great news for both of companies. Leica has always built absolutely top of the line optics for decades. Panasonic is a world leader in electronics and have been steadily building their name in the world of photography.

Leica's red badged D-Lux MFT camera. It's basically a Lumix LX100 in Leica clothing. Thanks to 43Rumors for the heads up on this new agreement.

Leica sells a Leica branded version of many of Panasonic’s stellar, new Micro Four Thirds cameras with Leica lenses. Combined they make a stronger company that will continue to build world class products. Congratulations to both Panasonic and Leica. This means even more exciting products ahead. Now for a personal request. Dear Optical engineers. Please, please, please, build us a 100-300mm F/4 zoom.
