Getting the Most From Your Mac for Photography and Everyday Use

Posted Jun. 10th, 2012 by Daniel J. Cox

On the eve of what is rumored to be Apple’s largest release of new products in the company’s history, I want to offer some ideas on how to get the most of the amazing tools they provide us. Tomorrow is Apple’s annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco and WWDC is always their biggest event where new products are announced.

The rumor mill is speculating that we will see  IOS6 for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. Also, a lot of good information on the update of new, more powerful laptops, possibly a refresh of the desktop, power house, Mac Pro and many other great tools for general use including photography. I’ll be watching the web closely for the coming announcements.

Until then, I wanted to share with you a great video I found that can help each of us understand the new features we all have access to with our current Apple computers. There is so much power in these machines and so many features, they can be hard to remember them all.

One of the best tools to understand is the laptop trackpad on all of the current apple laptops and desktops with the a Magic TrackPad. To help you understand how to use gestures effectively I want to share a great tutorial video that that shows these features well. I’m a big fan of the gesture features all Apple computers have – even desktops – if you buy the additional Magic TrackPad as I’ve done. Take a look at this video and let me know if you have further questions. I’m happy to try and help. Thanks to TheMacU.com for sharing their knowledge on Mac gestures.
