2022 Alaska Brown Bear Photography Tour I

16 photographs

Trip notes

I had done this tour in 2017 and felt that a revisit would be a perfect way to exit from the COVID cocoon we had been living in. Another very enjoyable tour with interesting fellow explorers, great wildlife sightings, and beautiful scenery. The trip proved the maxim that every time one revisits a location one sees and learns new things.

2021 Churchill Polar Bear Tour I

Trip notes

Another amazing adventure. Great people along with incredible and unique photographic opportunities made this a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks Dan and Tanya. I hope these pictures convey some of the sense of awe I felt as I watched the northern lights dance in the sky and the polar bears prepare for their trip out onto the ice.

Trip notes

“Three trips in one! Spending time in the jungles of Borneo is not something we would normally consider but our past experience with Natural Exposures made us very comfortable joining this tour and we are very happy we did. We visited three distinct areas of Indonesia and photographed the best of each area. The Orang-utans in Borneo, the dragons in Komodo National Park, and the Hindu temples and rice paddies of Java. Every day had new photography opportunities, great food, as well as the ever-friendly residents, hotel staff, tour guides, and fellow explorers who elevated the trip to another level. Not only did I pick up new ideas to improve my photography but the cooking class at Boroburdur was a great way to learn new food ideas. It is those little extras that make Natural Exposure trips special. Thanks to Tanya for putting this unique experience together and thanks to Dan for his always helpful photographic advice.”

This was my second wildlife photography trip but definitely won’t be my last. The trip was a wonderful experience which resulted in many wonderful photographs and some equally wonderful memories in a unique location.

2016 Scotland Landscape, Culture, and Whisky Photography Tour I

13 photographs

Trip notes

A most enjoyable visit to Scotland with some time in the bustling city of Edinburgh, rich with history and wonderful architecture. The remainder of the time was spent on the Western Isles which gave us some beautiful coastal scenes, isolated castles, and the fun and picturesque puffins.

2015 Costa Rica Photography Tour

Trip notes

Another great trip. Lots of great flora, fauna, foods, and friends. I always enjoy getting out and taking pictures but also enjoy learning new skills. This trip I learned a lot about macro photography with flash. Thanks to all of the other photographers who were great travelling companions as well as to Dan, Tanya, Esteban, and Pablo.

2014 Winter in Yellowstone Photography Tour II

Trip notes

An excellent four days of exploring Yellowstone Park at this magical time of year. We were able to see and photograph many of the residents of the Park including bison, coyotes, elk, trumpeter swans, and bald eagles. There are very few human visitors to the Park during the winter and acccess is limited which is wonderful for photographing from many of the iconic locations. My first wildlife photo trek but it will not be my last.
