Excellent accommodations, close to the subject matter – whether they were people or critters. Lots of opportunities for lemur photos and interaction. Great group of traveling companions.

Trip notes

I loved this trip. The wildlife was abundant. I couldn’t believe the number of different species that we saw at the same time. Imagine a farmer’s field full of cows. Now switch out the cows for gazelles, antelopes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, jackals, lions and cheetahs. We even saw a leopard. The accommodations were top notch. Truly “glamping” – certainly not anything like the tent camping at home. Our guides were personable, well educated, and amazing spotters. One of guides spotted a dung beetle as we drove by. We had a lot of laughs with our fellow travellers and have done other trips with some of them. I thought I might feel out of place as I was using a point and shoot camera, but that was not the case. I was quite pleased with lot of my shots. Thank you Dan & Tanya for lighting the photography spark in me and coordinating this fabulous trip.
