Bad weather makes for good photographs , and the challenge of working in this beautiful and rugged country brings with it a great deal of satisfaction after working hard to gathering such images. Hope you enjoy them.

Africa has many faces and sometimes you have to pull back a short distance to see them all. These images focus less on the closeup of beautiful animals and more on the story of Africa.

A land of paradox. Ferocious beast or mother nursing on the beach? A cold hard land or America the Beautiful. These are the different ways to see the landscape before you. And as photographers, we need to look in a way to find the story within scene. Here are some images that I hope captures the diversity of the Alaskan adventure. Hope you enjoy them.

I never understood people who came back from visiting Africa and said they were tempted to stay. Now I do. Animals in a zoo are lessons in anatomy. Animals in their natural state in the plains of Africa are lessons in life. I hope these photos capture the grandest parts of all from Kenya. Just for fun, I have included about half of the photos as black and white versions which I believe better show the essential elements of the subjects.
