2025 Super Solar Borealis Lofoten Islands Photography Tour II

21 photographs

Trip notes

What a stunning place! Though we were lucky to get 2 good nights of northern lights, Lofoten provides postcard worthy shots at every corner. Our cabins were fabulous and no surprise but Tanya went above and beyond in cooking several breakfasts and dinners. We had two great guides in Thomas Vikre and Kim Jenssen and along with Dan there was plenty of help to get wonderful photos. I really enjoyed practicing my long exposure photography (it helped smooth out the water on windy days!)

2019 Winter in Yellowstone Photography Tour II

25 photographs

Trip notes

Winter in Yellowstone is my new favorite season. The park was so beautiful with flocked trees and pristine carpets of snow. Feeling lucky to have made it given the snowy conditions. Thanks to Janette for safely getting us there. Photographing animals in snow has its challenges but bountiful rewards. The happy bag came in handy during times our chariots got stuck in the snow. This trip was well worth it with new friends and the usual excellent service of Dan and Tanya.

2018 Bosque del Apache Bird and White Sands Photography Tour III

25 photographs

Trip notes

Highlights for me included finally meeting Jill and enjoying her company, the beautiful white sands, the photography gallery and basement in Carrizozo, the vistas of the Sacramento Mountains at the three rivers petroglyph site, the soft light, as well as the multitudes of sandhill cranes and snow geese. Thank goodness for the goodie bag in the back of the van as it was cold in the mornings! A fun trip that was just the right amount of time.

2017 Kenya Photography Tour

Trip notes

Kenya was an eye opening experience. First and foremost was the dignity and majesty of the animals; I loved the way they moved and the care they took with their cubs. I was surprised by the metal detectors in Nairobi and the harsh, dry habitat of Samburu. Everybody in Kenya was lovely from our wonderful guides to the chiefs of the tribes. I miss the scented washcloths! Once again Dan and Tanya led a first class trip and I was glad to see old friends and make new ones.

Wine, cheese, croissants and gelato, pretty much all the necessary food groups! Wonderful hotels and scenery but best of all enjoying time with old and new friends

2015 Patagonia Photography Tour

25 photographs

Trip notes

This was our first tour and the fellow explorers made it a great trip! Everyone was so helpful to Laura and myself, we would love to travel with all of them again. Patagonia is huge and awesome and it was further enhanced by a day of fly-fishing with John. Kudos to Dan and Tanya for having the flexibility to make that happen.
