This was one of my most adventurous and delightful experiences. I had never been to New Mexico, much less to any of the refuges, so I was excited to finally be going. I have never seen that many migratory birds in one place , ever! My camera was very busy trying to capture these amazing snow geese and sandhill cranes, as they lifted off the water in early morning. I would highly recommend you go with Natural Exposures and its excellent instructor Daniel Cox. White Sands was another amazing experience, so if you are anywhere near Bosque Del Apache, stop over and take a look at White Sands National Memorial. You will not be disappointed!
