Although multiple flights and hours of travel time were required to visit the remote Lofoten Islands, this tour was well worth the effort!!! The landscapes were breathtaking, the small towns quaint, and, of course, the Northern lights which appeared on two nights were magnificent. While the weather was unpredictable in that Mother Nature served up snow, sleet, rain, wind gusts up to 40 mph, and a bit of sunshine, our fantastic guide Thomas Vikre and Dan kept us safe! Add to that several delicious meals prepared by Tanya, and you have the makings of yet another fabulous adventure with Natural Exposures!!!!

Although I rarely visit a location twice, Silver Salmon Creek Lodge in Lake Clark National Park is the exception. Both visits were with Dan & Tanya, first in 2019 and again in 2024. In the case of the 2019 visit, salmon were plentiful, and the bears were having a feast. Also, in 2019, three bear cubs made for delightful images. In contrast, in 2024, the salmon run was weak, and for one only on a few times in decades, no bear cubs roamed this part of the park. However, these different conditions provided wonderful opportunities to photograph bears, especially Crimp, clamming in the beautiful morning light while others were spotted along and in the Red River! In addition, during this trip, the puffins were plentiful and, as always, beautiful!!! How great it was to return to this magical place!!!

What a wonderful adventure to travel 80 degrees north with Dan, Tanya, & friends aboard the Polaris I. The landscapes, variety of wildlife, and overall experience exceeded my every expectation!!!!

Delayed three years by the pandemic, this wonderful adventure finally launched in March 2023 and surpassed my every expectation. Although I embarked on this journey with the primary aim of photographing orangutans, I was delighted by the beauty of the landscapes, the variety of the birds, and especially the warmth of the Indonesian people!

Although I have had the privilege of visiting many beautiful places, I am certain that the Faroes Islands take top spot. The landscapes are breathtaking, the weather ever changing, and the bird life spectacular!

The 2019 Brown Bear Tour exceeded every expectation! The trip was made spectacular by a mother coastal brown bear and her very animated cubs who were learning to fish. In addition to the bears, we were treated to a trip to Duck Island, the summer home of numerous horned puffins! Needless to say the Silver Salmon Creek Lodge was fantastic as was the opportunity to spend a week with Dan and Jill!

The 2018 Pantanal tour exceeded my highest expectations and was an unforgettable experience. What could be better than more than 25 jaguar sightings at close range, a wide variety of beautiful birds, caiman, capybaras, an ocelot and even an anteater coupled with great accommodations and delicious food?
