2014 Costa Rica Photography Tour

25 photographs

Trip notes

Costa Rica has great biodiversity for photography. We visited three different ecosystems and had wonderful opportunities to capture a wide variety of species during the day and at nighttime as well. We saw so many different types of animals and plants that one could barely keep track. There were many activities offered to learn as much as desired about the natural world in this amazing country. At the same time one could set his or her own pace and participate in as many or as few of the educational/photographic opportunities as were offered. This was my second trip to Costa Rica with Dan and Tanya. As always thank you for the great care and planning you put into making each one of your trips so special. Thank you for again including the wonderful coffee plantation that I love so much. I will be making this one with you again one day!!

2013 Brazil Pantanal Jaguar Wildlife Expedition

25 photographs

Trip notes

I tried for years to see jaguars in the wild and found the endeavor to be very disappointing. The Pantanal, one of the most diverse ecosystems on Earth, didn’t disappoint as you can see from the Explorer’s images. Dan and Tanya go through great lengths to give each guest the best opportunities to photograph flying hawks, hyacinth macaws, cayman, giant river otters, and of course the majestic jaguars. Every time I take images of birds in flight I say, “Dan Cox taught me how to do that.” Thank you Dan and Tanya for offering this once-in-a-lifetime, not-to-be-missed opportunity.
