Bonnie’s Polar Bear Photo Wins Silver!
We’re happy to announce that longtime Explorer and good friend Bonnie Forman-Franco has won a silver medal (or blue if you’re in Germany:) in the AC-FOTO German Mega Circuit photo contest! Her winning photo, a jumping polar bear, was captured on the recent NE Svalbard Photography Tour.
Bonnie reports that Gunther Riehle, head coordinator of the competition, sent her a personal message of congratulations, “You took part in an international photo competition with Photographic Society of America patronage. AC-FOTO German Mega Circuit. This salon produces one of the most prestigeous exhibition catalogues in the world. The competition has 8 sections. In each section there are 3 medals. In the mammals section you got a medal. The exhibition received ca 9100 images in the 8 sections.”
In addition to this honor, two of Bonnie’s Palouse images along with two separate polar bear images received acknowledgement for being in the top 25% of entries. These photographs can be viewed in the slideshow below, along with a photo of Bonnie herself 🙂 Browse through even more of Bonnie’s images on her NE Explorer page.
Bonnie loves traveling with Dan and Tanya and is about to embark on her fifth Natural Exposures photography tour, venturing this time to South Africa and the Cape Town region.
Many of you know Bonnie, so be sure to drop her a “congratulations” for her most recent photographic accomplishment. Well done Bonnie!!
