Backblaze Updates Hard Drive Failure Rates

Posted Aug. 13th, 2015 by Daniel J. Cox

Each quarter, Backblaze updates hard drive failure rates with the latest data. Seems the HGST drives are still far and away the best drives out there. I find this report extremely helpful for those of us who want to know which drives fail and which ones don’t. If you want to see which drives work the best and last the longest, read this report.

A digital photographer’s lifeblood are the hard drives we save our precious files to. Backblaze is providing some very beneficial information for all of us to take into consideration when buying drives for our life work.
