    About Dorothy Detlor

    I have been involved with photography for many years but it has only been since my retirement from a career in nursing education and university administration that I have been able to actively pursue this interest. I believe, however, that my background has provided a sensitively to my observations of places, people and wildlife. I have traveled extensively across the US and Canada as well as to China, Russia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East, and parts of South America and South Georgia Island. Learning about diverse cultures, history and nature changes one's perspectives of life and results in an appreciation of our fascinating world.
