US State Department To Stop Adding Additional Pages To Passports

Posted Nov. 23rd, 2015 by Jill Mangum

We recently received a special bulletin from our partners at CIBT Visa Central that the US State Department will stop adding additional visa pages to passports beginning January 1, 2016.

According to the Bureau of Consular Affairs, requests for additional visa pages may only be submitted until December 31, 2015.

The good news—when you obtain a new passport, you have the option of getting the 52-page jumbo passport book. Just be sure to check the appropriate box at the top of the renewal form.

Be sure to get any additional pages added to your passport as soon as possible. The Bureau of Consular Affairs will discontinue this service starting January 1, 2016.
