Midway Island – The Garbage Island

This short video was sent to us by NE Explorer Tom Dietrich. It is very disturbing….sad, but real. Population encroachment is not the only problem facing our wildlife. The image above is one of many photographs Dan shot on Midway Island of a Layson Albatross chick in the mid 90’s. Midway Island is in the heart of the floating plastic garbage mess.
